Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi (The World's Greatest First Love)

Genre: Comedy, Drama, Romance, Shonen-ai, Yaoi
Synopsis:
Ritsu Onodera, a literary editor, resigns from his father's publishing company, due to his coworkers' jealousy of his success, claiming that he is simply riding his father's coattails. He applies for a position at Marukawa Publishing in order to move away from his father's shadow, but instead of his preferred department of literature he is placed in the infamous shōjo manga department, Emerald. He initially considers resigning, especially because he finds his new boss, Masamune Takano, intolerable and unnerving from the very beginning; however, Takano inadvertently convinces Onodera to stick with the job by calling him "useless," his pride forcing him to stay in order to prove his worth. Later, Onodera learns that Takano's old family name was Saga, and that he was an older schoolmate from high school that Onodera fell in love with and confessed to. It turns out Takano still has feelings for Onodera, and he tells him he will make him fall in love with him again. The series shows how Takano slowly achieves this goal, and the obstacles the two face.
There are also two other couples in this show; their stories are shown in later episodes. The characters follow Onodera's fellow editors: Hatori and his longtime friend (and manga artist he's in charge of) Yoshino(Top Left), as well as Kisa and the attractive bookstore employee he has his eye on, Yukina.(Top Right)
Thoughts:
Again, if yaoi doesn't offend you, then seriously watch. It is a spin-off to Junjou Romantica so of course by the same author or mangaka. But still, the fun and excitement is all the same. This anime currently has 2 seasons but I am not sure whether there is a season 3 and I'm hoping so eventhough the probability is low. But still, watch and damn you could get hooked.
The First Couple introduced is the Nostalgia Couple where they often go down memory lane mostly to encourage Ritsu to love Masamune. But their romantical levels are off the roof, they are like the sweetest couple I have ever seen. Caring for each other, flirting, being jealous, kissing and so many others. Just a simple holding hands can be super adorable and sweet and makes the atmosphere super heartwarming. You'll see when you watch it.
Next Couple introduced is the Domestica Couple where the seme of the couple, Hatori always take care of his uke, Yoshino. This couple fights a lot and get into lots of misunderstandings but these challenges is what makes this couple grow stronger as they realize how deep their feelings for each other are and overally, super cute and amusing to see.
Third couple but not last is the Erotica couple where they always do erotic things and become close to friends with benefits but overcame that after some discussing. The uke, Kisa is pretty much like modern folks where he is very realistic and logical to the extent that he loses self-confidence in himself. To be paired with his opposite was just great luck, Yukina is more fantasy-looking but rational and considerate and tries to contribute a lot to make their relationship stronger. Their good points are what attracted me for the most part and the flowery imagery that comes along with them. You will get it when you watch it.
Simply, this is a great anime to watch. It gives a whole wider perspectives on love compared to Junjou while still maintaining the sweetness of it. My recommendation for sure with a rating of 10/10. It is nothing less than a romantic love story. This spin-off touched me when I am able to empathize with the characters and seemingly stepped into their shoes. It greatly goes into relatable for the audience like thinking first loves never works out, love at first sight. These things make the stories more vibrant with colours as we are as if in the story. So, I totally suggest watching this anime.
